Mable Mondays

A couple of weekends ago we spent the day out at my in-laws. They have ten acres and I truly believe this is Mable's favorite place to be!

Just lounging under a shade tree....her and her snaggle tooth.

The most beautiful profile ever!

Love the little tongue.

Relaxing on the front porch.

She leads such a rough life!

Blog Everyday in May....DAY ONE

I'm always late to the party. Oh Well....better late than never. I'm linking up Story of my Life Blog to blog everyday in May. I'm starting with Day One today. I'll probably do a couple a day until I'm caught up. Bear with me guys!

Day One
The Story of your life in 250 words or less.

I was born in Memphis TN raised in Collierville, TN. I’m the daughter of Bill and Kim and sister to Shannon. I’m a proud University of Memphis Alum . GO TIGERS GO! I love to be outside and active. I consider myself a runner but injuries are currently preventing me from that. Hopefully it’s nothing too serious. I love Jesus like crazy. I’m trying to live my life more for him every day. I’m married to Jared. He is the most amazing man in the world. He knows everything about me and still loves me. Mad Props to him! I married into a wonderful and HUGE family. I’m so grateful for that. I cherish my friendships. They are the girls that really get me and love me just the same. J I’m also the mom to the cutest Bullmastiff EVER. If you’ve been reading my blog then you are aware of my love for Mable Anne. Eventually I would love to have kids but she’s all we need right now. I love my job and thank my lucky stars everyday that I’m able to say that. I’m also loud and crazy and have a distinct laugh that if you’re around me for any length of time you will definitely hear. I’m also somewhat reserved until I get to know you. I love to dance and sing although I’m not great at either! I can’t wait to see what the future holds for me and my little family!

I'm not really in the mood to blog today but came across this little gem over at Rachel's blog.

You're welcome!

Friday Five

1. Praise the Lord the SUN is out and shining! After a week of dreary rainy cold weather I can begin to explain how happy I am to see that big yellow ball in the sky. It's supposed to be sunny and warm all weekend so I'm hoping to get some things done in the yard.

2. This weekend is super busy and I'm super excited. Tonight we're going to the Redbirds game with my in laws. Did i mention I'm excited it's not raining??? Saturday we're planning on working out, watching the final four, working in the yard, spring cleaning and spending time with friends! Sunday is all about church, buying new sheets and preparing for the week ahead.

3. I'm listing my workouts from this week to hold myself accountable.
     Sunday: 3 mile run
     Monday: off day
     Tuesday: Spin and Abs
     Wednesday: off day
Thursday: Yoga and 45 min fast paced inclined walk on the treadmill
     Friday: off day
Saturday: not really sure maybe a run outside in the sun!!!

4. I'm really trying to eliminate the things in our house that we don't use and if we use it it needs a space and not just laying around! The first thing I'm focusing on is clothing. I'm a clothing hoarder. (The first step is to admit it, right???) There are a few big things that I want to purchase so I'm going to try and sell some things to get the money for the big things. Be looking for a blog sale early next week!!!!

5. Does anyone else have a top load HE washing machine? I need help. It smells mildewy (I love making up words!) Does anyone have any great ideas on how to keep it clean and smelling like fresh flowers and not mildewy (there's my new word...I'm contacting Webster this afternoon!). Thanks in advance for any and all help with this!!!

April 2013 Mini Goals

I didn't really set a New Years Goal this year. I do better in little increments so I'm going to set mini goals and use this blog to hold myself accountable. Here are my goals for the month.

1. Get to work on time...everyday. I'm wanting to get to work at 8 everyday so I can make it to the gym for 5:30 classes. I'm notorious for getting to work at 9 then working until 6 which leaves me rushed to fit everything in that I wasn't to complete after work.

2. Spend more time with the lord and in prayer. I've been doing quiet time here and there and praying inconsistently. Spending time in prayer always puts me in the best mood so why not do it more?

3. 4-5 days a week working out. I got in 3 workouts last week. I'm hoping to step it up to five this week. Bathing suit season will be here sooner than we think!

4. Spring Clean one room a week. Not sure what this week's room will be maybe the mudroom. It's small and needs some attention.

5. List items to sell on the blog and/or Poshmark. I literally have shoes and clothes that still have the tag on them. I'm not good with returning items that I don't like when I get home. Momma needs some money so she can buy new things. ha-ha

6. Make a donation of items to Goodwill. I have tons of t-shirts, old shoes and old clothes that I need to document and donate. Gotta get in those tax deductions for 2013.

What are some goals you have for April???

WILW

Today I'm linking up with Jamie for "What I'm Loving Wednesday"!

First and Foremost I'm absolutely LOVING my new running shoes. Christin at Fleet Feet Memphis helped me to find a shoe that has a larger toe box for my bunion. Yes I'm only 30 but I have old lady feet. I'll give you a quarter to rub it. What movie is that from?? In all seriousness I've run in these twice so far and they are marvelous. If you are running and haven't been properly fitted for shoes shame on you! Now run don't walk to your local running store and get fitted. You can thank me later!

Second, I'm loving my gym. Now that the New Years Resolution hype has died down I have enjoyed being back in the gym.

I went to Spin class last night and although I burned some calories I just really couldn't get into the class. It was only 45 minutes and there was sub teacher who really lacked energy and her music selection sucked. I never realized how much the energy of the instructor plays into me enjoying the class. Farriss, please come back!

Of course I'm always loving my Hubby! He helped get rid of our hot tub in the back yard this past weekend and cleared out some flower beds so I'm loving his alot this week. :) How could you not love that face? I know I'm partial but I really lucked out with this cutie!

What are you loving this week?

What You Don't Know Wednesday

I totally stole this idea form Christin. I've been in a blog writing funk so I'm hoping this relieves it!

1. I was born at 7:13 p.m. and weighed 7lbs 13 oz. I also have 2 middle names Kelly Savina Louise Franks.

2. I recently self diagnosed myself with a Gluten Sensitivity. Avoiding gluten has made a world of difference with my "stomach" issues. Now I think I'm going to get the Al cat Test to see what else I'm allergic to and make some diet changes. FYI Issuance usually covers this test.

3. I was an only child until I was 5 years old and still act like it. Admitting this is the first step right? Lucky for me my husband treats me like a queen. I'm one lucky lady!

4. I never went to day care as a child. I stayed with my grandparents who lived less than a mile from our house. I blame all my spoiled tendencies on them! It's definitely not my fault. ;)

5. I am extremely clumsy. I ran into a coffee table as a child and got a huge bruise on my cheek which resulted in a huge dimple. I also ran into a door jam and received 50 stitches on my forehead when I was 3.

6. The plastic surgeon that stitched up my forehead was also one of my best friend's boob job doctor. Small World, huh?

7. I secretly wanted to be a cheerleader growing up but my dad told me it wasn't a sport. So I played soccer instead. I was the prissiest soccer player EVER! I always had on full make up, two french braids with white bows on the end. Don't Judge! If I was going to play soccer I was going to look good doing it. I think players underestimated my soccer skills because of the way I looked. I would know a girl down in a heart beat.

8. Playing soccer made me love running. It's my stress reliever!

9. I wrecked my first car the first weekend I had it and had to drive a minivan all summer for my punishment. The upside...Cops in Collierville NEVER pull over minivans!

10. I gave up Ice Cream for Lent my senior year of High School while working at Baskin Robbins. Talk about some serious will power. I also lost 20 pounds!

11. I was in a bad car wreck the morning of Prom my senior year. I was thrown from a car and walked away with only a broken collar bone and stitches in my back. Obviously God had other plans for my on this earth because everyone that worked the scene has no clue how I walked away from that alive.

12. My husband and I are two years and two days apart. He stole my Birthday Thunder. J/K Love you Hunney!

13. I've run 3 half marathons..one with a stress fracture.

14. I've never been to Disney World or Land. I'm hoping to change that this year. My husband feels that I was deprived as a child. I see many more trips in our future. I love being married to him!

15. I've recently started to read the bible front to back. I'm 30 years old and have never read it. I think it's long over due!
